An unusual first course with chickpeas and peppers: a unique combination of flavors that will surely please.

Ingredients (for 4 people)

Casarecce 300 gr.

Boiled chickpeas 200 gr. or 1 can

Peppers 1 (two if small)

Pomodorini 150 gr.

Parsleyto taste

Basilico q.s.

Extra virgin olive oil 50 gr.

Salt to taste

Garlic 2 cloves

Pepper (optional)

Wash and cut the peppers into strips, chop the basil and parsley. Prepare the chickpeas already boiled by yourself or ready in a box. Brown the garlic with the oil.

Pour in the peppers, cherry tomatoes and chopped parsley and basil.

Cook for 5 minutes over medium heat. Remove the garlic.

Add the chickpeas and a little of their cooking water.

Cook for about 5 minutes over high heat.

Pour the pasta cooked al dente into the pan.

Stir and mix over high heat for 2-3 minutes. Add a sprinkling of pepper if you like.
