Side dish, appetizer or even first course, this simple and ancient recipe will surely please you and will make you change your mind about a vegetable, chard, which not everyone likes.

Ingredients (for 4 people)

Swiss chard (leaves) 300 gr.

Potatoes 400gr.

Extra virgin olive oil 50 gr.

Garlic 2 cloves

Chili pepper to taste.

Salt to taste

Clean and wash the chard, removing the ribs, which you can use for a different recipe. Boil them for a few minutes in salted water.

Peel and cut the potatoes into large chunks and boil them for 4-5 minutes in a pot with salted water.

Drain the potatoes. Drain the chard, keeping a ladle of cooking liquid.

Brown the garlic and chilli pepper in a pan.

Pour in the potatoes and chard.

Cook, turning gently, for 3-4 minutes. Season with salt if necessary and remove the garlic. Add a little chard cooking liquid if needed.
